To catch up, for any newcomers- at the end of January 2024, I entered the hospital to wait for a heart transplant. On March 20th, I was told there was a heart, and surgery took place that afternoon. Due to complications, I was placed into a medically induced coma for a week. Unfortunately, they tried to wake me up but I kept sleeping for a little more than another week. When I woke up, I had a tracheotomy tube in my throat, my legs didn't work...
One of the problems with my health, is that I never fit into the average mold of symptoms. That is why, even though my ejection fraction is not extremely low, I am listed on the heart transplant list. This is why they can't keep me in the hospital indefinitely - because they can't find a reason to keep me there. I am basically healthy, except for my heart. So, I have to wait at home until l need to get my heart shocked back into rhythm.... 3...
I began writing this album while in the hospital for 5 weeks and I was able to participate in FAWM (a yearly online event in February). I use music to help regulate my emotions. So, it was necessary to be able to create music while sitting in a white room, with a constant hum and a disgusting sanitary smell.
